In order to prepare for next years coursework task of creating a campaign we had an introductory lesson into using Wix. Wix is a flexible website builder that allows users to display their chosen content on the internet with interesting designs and layouts. There are many pros and cons to using this platform as there is an abundance of other sites and programs that do the same thing. The main thing I noticed about Wix, is that its very simple to use. The templates are very stylish and offer pre-built layouts for many different industries. This enables anyone to create a modern and easy to use website that suits their content.
As an introduction to next years coursework, I created a website for the artifical music artist Mingu Xia:

Using pictures I had recently taken from a photography shoot, I created a theme and stylised look for my artist and his image. The images I had taken were quite dark and mysterious so I followed this theme with a black page menu and white text. I chose to place the artists name at the very centre of the home page using an enlarged image as a background. By doing this the artists name will be associated with his image and should hopefully, due to bold typography, and striking imagery be remembered.
